I took the final today and I feel pretty good about it. I have 2 more finals and this semister is over! Good luck to everyone with finals! Oh and I have decided.. I'm no longer majoring in ME. Sorry to let everyone down.

Al told us about DriftxBattle round 1, one month before the scheduled date. Which is a good thing, he knew we are laggers and wouldn't prep or work on our cars till the last minute. Not that we like doing that, it's because we have so much shit to do now days, we can barely afford to take a few days off to actually work on our cars. I had a lot of shit to do to the Corolla and I didn't get on it till 3 days before the event! fook! My list of shit to do range from simple oil changes to swaping steering rack and lsd. A few weeks before the event, my friend offered to let me take his 350z around to screw with. I was surprise that he just tossed me the keys and told me to go drift it!! I told him "drifting it around a few time is just teasing me." I then decided to ask him if I can take it to a competition, just to see what he says.... (Note: he bought the car a month ago, used from Nissan, it doesn't have plates yet!) He said "I will think about it"... Fast forward to 3 days before the event. Seeing that my car has a lot of shit to do, trying to work around tests for class and work schedule, I said fuck it and called him. He told me to come pick up the car! WTF!!? Now that is a straight up homie!

I can't leave a car alone... I think some people know that.. It isn't Kevin approved unless it make noises... so..

The stock muffler was heavy as shit! It sounded alright with it on, but even better with it off! It sounded aggressive as shit! I made a quick piece to extend it to the bumper cut out.

I needed money for tires, so I sold everything I can quickly take off... for some quick cash!

I took off the heavy driver seat. Originally I was going to mount my race seat in there, fabricating my own seat mounts... I got pretty close to finishing it and I quit because I didn't see a point in doing so afterward.. So I scraped everything.

Ev-dawg came with me and I want to thank him for riding with me because he helped me out during the event and shit like that. I hope Evan had as much fun as I did. hahahha shake and bake mufucka!

Thanks Paul for the photos.

Stock 350z is probably better drifting on flat/leveled surfaced, such as parking lot events. I was having a lot of understeer throughout the first bank. It sucks because once you initiate, the car will slide then understeer.. The other two Z's were have a lot of difficulty as well. Not too bad since it was my first time taking something other then my Corolla to the track. The rear tires were Falken ST-115 size 245! They were pretty sticky and I didn't have compressed air to increased the tire pressure. Fuggit!

Please help SAVE ALTAMONT MOTORSPORT PARK! For more information on how to save motorsports and drifting, please click http://www.driftbattle.org/ This DOES affect everyone because if they can do it to this race track, that means they can do it everywhere/anywhere else! The 13th!

My cousin Scott swung by the house Thursday night with two big 200 gallon pexi-glass fish tank sitting in back of Pete's truck. Originally, he was suppose to drop one off here, but WTF? There is enough useless shit around here already and we have no where to put it. I told Peter to just find a place to put it at his house OR I can push that shit off and out of the truck while driving... He chose to find a place to put it because I don't want that shit here. I didn't expect to go to So-Cal, but Scott wanted me to. So after ten minutes or asking me, I said fuck it and went with him. It was pretty dope, we bs on the way there. Got there around 3 in the morning, got some Robertitos and called it a night.. Fuck my California Burrito tasted like shit...

I got up early in the morning thinking I was going to leave before 12 to make it to work.. I guess not, we cruised around to run some errands and it was already 1pm. Wilson lagged and I ended up calling in because I knew we weren't going to make it. Called up Ming to chill and all of us went to Denny's for lunch. Some hot chicks came in and I guess they over heard our man talk... They kept starring at us so I decided to leave Peter's number on their car when we left... but then I took that shit back because they had a family picture on the dash. I couldn't see which chick was in the pic, but she had like 4 kids! So 1 out of the 2 hotties have kids, the 3rd was a fatass. Note to self: don't leave a picture on the dash or anywhere that the people from the outside can see.

Check out what Scott hauled from Sac....

Why? We also stoped by a motorcycle dealer because I was thinking about picking up a Ruckus... If you don't know what that is, then you need to search up on it because they are dope!

Here is one I got off of DriftxBattles maintenance page...

Shit is badass. I was thinking about getting one for quite some time now. I first saw one at DriftxBattle comp 2 of last year, when Al was ridding Mark's around.

Went to SOB Sport and picked up some just released SB Dunks. [pic barrowed from UNIV]

Check out the color scheme! Be sure to take a peek at all the pics." -Nicekicks.com

Got back to the house and chilled.. Then Scott started walking... fast too! I tend to always buy retarded and useless crap I think I need, but really don't. I saved some money to pick up a dope point and shoot camera (read my old blog entries). That didn't go the way I was hoping, instead I "accidentally" picked up another DSLR.

Fuck I'm retarded.

This camera is fucking tight! It's small for a SLR and smooth, I have to admit, that I actually like it. I would never think about picking up a Nikon SLR, but I came across a good deal that my cousin hooked me up with. I couldn't pass it up. If you are having trouble with the pictures loading, please let me know! I need to catch up with blogs.. Here it goes.....

Hell mother fucking yea! It was great, went up with the brothers, board like nothing was gonna stop us. We (the brothers, Vu, and Chris) were all hauling ass.. We got there late and within two hours, we notice we ran through 10+ runs! Shit was nuts, good snow, big mountain, good amount of people, no mistakes, just hauling ass. FOOK! I miss the snow...

3/16/07

Broham 2 (Stevo) came to pick me up, little bro wasn't going to come because he needs to work.. That fucker was boarding at Sierra Summit during the week since his ass has no school.. Stevo got here and I wasn't home because I was picking up some mats at the dollar store (we got a new tool box so I was excited to finally have time to put it together). Since he was waiting for me, he looked up the directions on Yahoo, Google, and Mapquest to confirm his navigation was giving the proper directions.. Off we went after we packed all my shit into the car, our quest to Mammoth. At this point, Stevo and I thought we will make it there before all the fat asses did, who were heading up there at the same time, but from So-Cal. They have random missions, so for sure we were confident.

Stephen and I: 4 hrs, from Cen-Cal..... Wait.. I take that back, read the story.

Pete and the rest: 5.5 hrs, from So-Cal

Three hours into the drive, everything is cool, we were up the 41 and it was chill, going into the mountains, had some fun with a little touge (winding road). The navigation shows that we still have over 40ish-miles of winding road to drive through... Which isn't shit as we like to run the mountain roads with our cars, but since we're in the 4runner, we took it easy.. A little... It handled like a champ! Fuck, if anyone ever considered the 03-07 4runner, I think it's worth it to invest in the Sport Edition because of the X-REAS suspension. So we have no service up in the mountains, but we did run into a long ass Tunnel...

Before the mountains:

The mile or so long tunnel... Look at Stevo!

After we passed the tunnel, we were probably 20 miles away... We have service to our phones, so we decided to call Pete to see where they are at. What? WTF! the 120 is closed? We are like 5 miles away from the 120! wtf, why did they close that shit! Mother fucker!!!! Why didn't they (Pete and whoever was riding with him) tell us that the 120 was closed when they knew we were going to drive on the 41 North... uggg? Fook! So that means we have to run the winding road back down, pass the 41 to the 99, then up the ...... Stupid fucking shit! Why didn't any of the maps Stevo looked at showed that possibly that direction is a no go, because the 120 wasn't open.. It sucks, but fuck it, I ended up driving down the mountain all the way pass the dessert to the 395.. It was 6 in the morning and I was tempting to bust the rest of the way. I decided not to because the original plan was to make it there, power nap for a hour or 2.. and board half day. Yup we are that hardcore, despite the fact that we were driving since 9 that night. Stephen swaped me and I knocked out while he was driving. I woked up and the sun was already up. I think it was like 7ish when we got to the cabin.

We didn't board that day because everyone over slept. I was down to, but no one wanted to so fuck it.. Slept in and wait for Sunday.

We got up, starting bullshitting and fucking around..

I was on my way out the front door, when I opened it... I ran into one of these beast.. Fucking scared the shit out of me. They weigh about 170lbs and they are taller then your hips if you're about 5'8" or so.. Fucking huge! Like a fucking raindeer!

I couldn't get over the sink...

Shit is old school, know your roots!

We board the whole day Sunday, it was great.

FTMFW! A camera that rocks WiFi and Bluetooth?

A couple of weekends ago, while we were at Mammoth, my two older brothers were talking about picking up a late and somewhat great point and shoot camera as well. I guess it's time to upgrade from our hand around old POS 1.3mp Canon A10 and 2.0mp Sony DSCsomeshit. So I brought up the Canon G7 as one of the of the camera that should be on the list and Peter brought up the Nikon P5000. The thing about these two cameras is that both are 10mp, both are built with metal casing, both built with their own type of image stabilizer, and both are above the normal high end point and shoot cameras. The G7 lacks the raw format and cost as much as my entry DSLR. The P5000 lacks the ISO dial button, but IS up there with the G7 but cost half the price. Fook! So we are still stuck on which camera to get, most likely we will end up with a P5000 or something else because the price for the G7 is rediculous!

When Stephen, Chris, and I were on the lift... We were talking about new technologies and why having a camera that supports RAW is a plus. It got to where we were talking about how new cameras will have blue booth or wireless of some short... What do you know? Ricoh will be releasing a camera thats has both WiFi and bluetooth!

If you're looking for the perfect camera to take on your next vacation to the Amazon rainforest or Sahara desert, look no further than Ricoh's upcoming Caplio 500SE; like the 500G that preceded it, this 8 megapixel ruggedized shooter also sports a water-, shock-, and dust-resistant casing, but throws in some sweet wireless action to offload your pics no matter where you are. The high end Model W not only features a WEP- and WAP-secured WiFi radio like several other products on the market, but is one of the first imaging devices to also include Bluetooth 2.0 in the mix. No hotspot? No problem -- just transfer the pics over to your smartphone and release them onto the Internet wherever a cellular connection is available. Besides the dual radios, you're getting a 3x optical zoom, 2.5-inch LCD, 26MB of internal memory (enhanced via SD), and rather underwhelming QVGA video capture that may not even include sound. Still, this is a hell of a package (both in terms of its feature set and its weight: 482 grams fully loaded) with a price to match -- ¥130,200 ($1,100) for the Model W and ¥115,500 ($990) for the WiFi-less Model B when they ship sometime this winter and September 1st, respectively.

Click: Engadget
;
I think this camera is bad ass, because it seem like it is well built for all around shit. It does look a little cheap and somewhat ugly, but it offers a lot of shit.

While I was browsering Fatlace, I found another interesting camera that is up there with the P5000 and the G7, which is the Ricoh Caplio GX100. Another not a normal point and shoot, but not a DSLR camera. I'm looking forward to this camera as it does offer RAW.

Pretty dope eh? Now I gotta stop thinking about it and get back to work!

Second thoughts

I usually swing around with mixed feelings about it. I'll bring it up to some people... Sometime, but those who have heard it, probably heard it more then a few times. When it comes down to it, I think hard about it... tough thoughts. Some will think it's easy and just tell me to do it, some will understand me, some just don't give a shit. I don't know... I'll think about it AGAIN, after April 15th... I'll try to finalize it... try to.

You know it's not always about the money... It's way beyond that and money has nothing to do with it.

December 22, 2003

Special Thanks: Heidi, Scott, Mike, Con, Mom, Dad, Stephen, Peter, Auntie P.
